MOUTH BREAKER
Mouth Breaker was the first piece designed for GLARE and became the foundation for the direction of Season 001.
The original artwork started as a hand-drawn sketch before being developed further alongside an anime artist, who refined the line work and completed the final colouring process while keeping the raw feeling of the original drawing intact.
The piece was designed to feel dark, oversized, and visually aggressive while still maintaining a worn-in vintage finish. Built on a heavyweight washed black garment, the faded texture and distressed details were chosen to make the shirt feel aged from the beginning rather than overly clean or mass produced.
Each garment is individually dyed and printed by hand, meaning every piece carries slight variations in wash, fading, and texture.
MOUTH BREAKER combines oversized proportions, layered graphics, and distressed finishing inspired by underground music, vintage horror artwork, anime illustration, and early 2000s visual aesthetics.
