SPINE SPLITTER
Spine Splitter was developed while travelling through Japan, influenced by the visual contrast between bright anime culture and the darker underground atmosphere found throughout areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku.
The piece was designed to feel bold without looking overly clean or polished. The washed pink finish was chosen to give the garment a worn-in appearance from the beginning, creating a softer vintage tone while still keeping the graphic aggressive and oversized.
Built on a heavyweight oversized silhouette, each garment is individually dyed and printed by hand, meaning every piece carries slight variations in wash, fading, and texture.
SPINE SPLITTER combines layered graphics, distressed detailing, and oversized proportions inspired by vintage anime artwork, underground music culture, and early 2000s visual aesthetics.
